Sherri received her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and worked as investigator for many years, although, she always knew her true calling was to work with animals. At the age of three she rescued her first cat from underneath a car. From that point forward, she has never stopped taking in and saving animals. At one time she had a full house of strays, including four cats and two dogs. Currently she resides with her two fur babies, Riley; a Great Dane, Shepard mix who is a neat freak and will not allow anything to lay around without picking it up and bringing it to Sherri, and Karma; Sherri’s little Pit Bull who is a month older and is a very sweet girl, that is why her brother picks on her. They were both rescues.
When Sherri was younger she worked with horses and participated in showing them in various classes. She has always had a deep love for animals and became a vegetarian twenty one years ago to preserve all animal life. Working for Kritter Kare is what Sherri considers her “Dream job.”
