Bridget has lived in the St. Louis area all her life and has always had a passion for animals. Growing up she had collies, as well as cats and a variety of small companion pets. She had worked most of her adult life in the pet industry, mostly pet retail. Working in retail in pet stores where pet adoptions are held, it was just a matter of time before she brought home new family members. One of her dogs was abandoned as a puppy in a box outside of her store on a cold November night. It only took one look, and the rest is history. A few years later, she fell in love with another puppy and again, fate intervened. She has had all kinds of animals and currently lives with a rescue dog (Great Pyrenees/Border Collie), a rescue cat, rescue bunnies, and she also raises corn snakes.
Bridget has cared for her special needs Great Pyrenees and has first hand experience with the challenges that go along with special needs pets. She understands the patience and compassion that special needs pets require. It’s not always easy, but her dedication to the animals is what keeps her going.
Bridget’s pets are her family and she knows that there are many others that feel the same way. That’s what brought her to Kritter Kare. She enjoys treating other people’s pets just like her family and will take the best care of the animals trusted in her care. Someday she would like to have a dog to use for pet therapy to brighten the day of kids and people who are hospitalized.
